[/x_accordion_item][/x_accordion][x_gap size=”20px”][cs_element_text _id=”33″ ][cs_content_seo]The Coastal Bend Classic is a premier Area 10 NJROTC qualifying drill meet held annually on the campus of Foy H. Moody High School in beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas.
Teams from around the state annually attend to test their skills in competitive events such as Battalion Inspection, Color Guard, Unarmed Basic Drill, Armed Basic Drill, Unarmed Exhibition Drill, Armed Exhibition Drill, Academics, and Physical Fitness.
Units earn points from their performance in each event and attempt to earn the highest cumulative point totals in accordance with the grading scale set forth by the meet’s Letter of Instruction (“LOI”) and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”) in order to determine top finishes.
Trophies will be awarded to top finishers in each event as well as top overall team finishers across all events. The top groups from this particular competition will be awarded the chance to advance to the Area 10 NJROTC State Championships held annually in the early spring on the campus of prestigious Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Attendees should expect to see their cadets participating in this competition in the pre-designated “drill areas” located around the main buildings of the Moody campus. These areas will be labeled and marked clearly with cones. Be sure to visit the check-in table to find out where your cadet may be competing!
